It's interesting how DOJ investigations into the Biden family move rapidly while Trump's are glacial

It's been said that the US attorney out of Chicago (IIRC) is acting as a de facto special counsel for the Biden documents investigation. So, that means that it took roughly 60 days or less for DOJ to start up a SC-like investigation into then VP-Biden's documents, when the circumstances surrounding then VP-Biden's documents are FAR less serious or remotely similar to the Trump document case, which they moved glacially on. Also, the US attorney in Delaware was delegated to investigate the far-right conspiracy theories into Hunter Biden, pretty much on day #1 by DOJ. It's also interesting to note that DOJ or FBI agents leaked back in October that Hunter Biden should be charged. There have been no leaks on their charging inclinations in the myriad of Trump offences.

Contrast that to the fact that there was no criminal investigation into Trump stealing highly classified nuclear documents, as he fled the W.H. for what 18 months (June 2022 is when a criminal investigation was opened, IIRC, and this was only done most reluctantly).

As for Trump attempting to overthow democracy and install himself dictator for life, DOJ didn't appoint a special counsel into January 6, 2021, until November 18, 2022.

22 MONTHS!!! 22 months to appoint a SC to investigate the gravest threat to American demoracy EVER.

I also do believe that it was a relatively rapid, certainly not a 22-month delay, for DOJ to decide that E. Jean Carroll's rights were superseded by Trump's and that Trump's rights needed to be defended in a court of law.

So, we have DOJ slow-walking all investigations into Trump and unleasing their hounds without delay onto the duly-elected 46th President of the US! Outrageous!

Bill Barr was not a lone wolf, he was the tip of the rethugs laundry service.

Leaking Hillary's emails....never going hard after rethug criminals like Gaetz, they protect their own and are well connected.

Powers-that-be who are going to remove my OP, before you do so, I ask you: How can you defend Matt Gaetz, pedophile traficker extraordinaire, roaming free, while DOJ investigations into the Biden family spring up like flowers blooming in the garden in a great spring season.

JT, thanks for your point about Bill Barr not to mention the mistreatment of HRC. "Other connected rethugs all over DOJ" helps me piece the dots together on how this is even happening. It is just so unimaginably outrageous.

Rather than waiting for the archives to discover hundreds missing.

You’re trying to claim there is a double standard for investigations, but I don’t think you’ve made a convincing apples to apples argument.

Not to mention that these documents have been in Biden's possession for at least 6 or 7 years. If they were that important, and as highly classified as the documents Trump stole, one would think the National Archives would have noticed by now.

rather than hanging over the administration as unfinished business?

Legal opinions seem to hold that this is a nothingburger, with the documents legitimately held in the first place, held in a secure facility in the mean time, and reported and returned as soon as they were discovered, in severe contrast to Trump's situation.

Sure, the MAGA crowd will rave about this, but it's in Biden's interest to have the issue resolved legally as soon as possible.
