Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) told Politico not to expect a U.S. Senate campaign announcement from him today, along with a veiled shot at Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) who did make an announcement.
Said Schiff: You dont announce a campaign in the middle of a natural disaster.
Meanwhile, Porters pollster David Binder put out a survey showing Porter leading Schiff, 37% to 26%, in a hypothetical top-two November election.

(540 posts)I have always been proud to vote for him and he would be a great Senator. That said, I love Katie, too. I would imagine, whoever prevailed in the primary would support the other.

(40,730 posts)Or maybe they're just encouraging her not to run. My Lord she's almost 90 years old.
Both Katie Porter and Adam Schiff are better candidates than the Repukes would ever some up with.

(5,104 posts)There is no need to exhibit this level of disrespect for such an outstanding and distinguished Democratic Senator.
She has served by home state very well.

(3,868 posts)That's a hard no for me. This early announcement stunt speaks to a sense of entitlement that I have seen from Porter before.

They are both so good.
I wish they could run in separate races.
