QAnon influencer who accused Democrats of pedophilia was himself convicted of abusing 8-year-old boy

A filmmaker confronted QAnon influencer David Todeschini about a past child abuse conviction in clips from a new HBO Max documentary.

-snip-

The belief that elite Hollywood figures and Democrats covertly run child abuse rings is one of the core claims of QAnon, the sprawling online conspiracy theory movement that Todeschini has promoted.

Soon after, Callaghan tells Todeschini that he "needs to talk" to him about something.

"On May 19, 1999, you were convicted of sexual abuse in the first degree and sodomy in the second degree of an eight-year-old boy in New Jersey," Callaghan says.

Same as it ever was, do the things you claim others are doing.

PROJECTION is thy name, owe up to it Q'verts!

I couldn't finish watching it. Seeing the same old conspiracy crazies (if you've seen one, you've pretty much seen them all) is injurious to one's physical and mental health.

For the sake of my blood pressure, I changed channels.

They're free and easy with accusations about others, but when confronted with their own past, suddenly everything's a big set up and they only pled guilty because they couldn't avoid a conviction in a criminal trial. Really? "Beyond a reasonable doubt" is a pretty high bar, and you only need to convince one juror on the panel that there is reasonable doubt of your guilt. Todeschini is a fraud and a nutter.

I think it's more a strategic smokescreen.
There is intent to deceive others, not themselves.
Create enough noise about the issue to make people other than where they should.
It's willful.

The documentary spends an awful lot of time interviewing Trumpers, conspiracy nuts, and of course, there are the obligatory clips of The Big Orange Pig.

I've seen waaaaaaaaaay too much of these people over the past two years (7 years of Trump) and couldn't finish watching it.

I believe the human brain can only accept a limited amount of stupidity before you, yourself, become hopelessly stupid.

I thought another outlet revealed this, and the creep threatened to sue them for revealing his scumbag past?

Except there was one glaring problem--he's a registered Class 3 sex offender.

https://sexoffender.ncsbi.gov/details.aspx?SRN=034791S9

Ah--found the original story on Right Wing Watch, from October of last year:

https://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/this-qanon-influencer-accuses-democrats-of-being-pedophiles-he-hides-his-own-conviction-with-an-alias/

Rather obvious when comparing the picture in the article with the scumbag's sex offender registry pictures that it's the same guy.
