12. Churchill the imperialist

He might have been looked at as a heroic figure because of the role he had in WW II , but Churchill was an imperialist ( as was his father), the very kind of human that creates wars and plunders countries, divides people, and disdains humanity and empathy if it gets in the way of his treachery and conquest. He happened to be on the right side in that war. Winston, like his father Randolph, had vile racist views of people of lands that the brits had or wanted to possess. India, Ireland, Palestine, and other middle eastern lands and their ethnic groups and tribes.He was against home rule in Ireland, and deployed the terrorist Black and Tans regiment there to quell the actions of volunteers that dared fight against the imperialist perfidious Britania. He supported the partition of the island and didn’t care about the loss of life that would ensue through the generations. I have known many of the victims firsthand. His racist views of India and its people, especially during their famine in 1943 is reprehensible. I sure as hell don’t like the fact W.C.’s bust is there, nor that the select memory of his exploits is honored anywhere. I loathe those that quote him until they are aware of some of the other things he spoke or wrote openly.
