And that's cool with his party. They're just happy that he's a really, really good liar who has forged a new path, where they no longer have to be honest about anything.

(11,396 posts)for a "George Santos" in New York I'd want to see a year by year trace of where he was - just to make sure (or about 90% positive) that he didn't steal someone else's identity.

(13,849 posts)But how could the Democratic leadership in Long Island, NYC and NY State have let this guy sail past our guy?
Obviously the most important aspect here is this guy is a scam artist weirdo with a history of lying, and he owns that. The republican party also now owns that, as he's one of them. That's a total given.
But this was a LAY-UP! We should have been on this and won that election. The NY State Democratic Party really dropped the ball here, and I'm kind of furious about that. With the 4 or 5 close elections we lost state wide in the house... we could have turned this ship around, and this is the most egregious case of that.
How do we fix this? What can we do to make sure this doesn't happen in the future, again?
