Santos even had a suspended driver's license.

In late 2021, an opposition research firm hired by Santos’ team to conduct a “vulnerability study” on the candidate found no evidence of Santos’ purported degrees from Baruch College and New York University, the New York Times reported on Friday.

The company did find records of evictions, a suspended Florida driver’s license, his involvement with a company accused of a Ponzi scheme, and that the openly gay candidate had been married to a woman, the news outlet reported.

The research firm’s findings startled some members of Santos’ team so much so that they urged him to drop out of the race, according to the report.

Made it available to local media and no one covered it much. Still his ads and speeches could have just laid out how full of s Santos is but maybe they just wanted to go positive.

They had plenty of time to realize the media wasn’t doing their job. Should have had a press conference, or brought it up during an interview, or debate if they had any.

I’m further infuriated by the media giving kudos to the Times for “revealing “ this fraud after they didn’t do their job during the election campaign.

Perhaps after a public resignation and going before cameras and saying 'this is what we just found out'?

Naw, we're republicans, we can't do anything ethical like that

As long as Santos is in the news all the time, it makes the other whacko republicans in congress look relatively normal by comparison. He has just lowered the bar even more and people like Bobert or Gosar don't seem quite so extreme.

So I think republicans in congress love having the many sins of George Santos as the daily feature story. All the outrage and moral indignation is hilarious.

I'm sorry, but they have a responsibility too, which they didn't exercise.

What platform did this doofus even run on? I can't imagine that there's even any issue he cares about.
