Boy, Scarborough is choking himself while patting his back...

about how well he handled classified material while he was in Congress. He went on to criticize Biden for not coming forward to explain how the documents were in Biden’s possession?

Well Scarborough! You should know this because you say that you are a lawyer yourself? But, remain silent and let the investigation find the facts!

If Biden stays quiet, unlike the former guy, he won’t look like Biden is hiding anything! Biden did speak, but he was not condensing, didn’t make any excuses and was working with investigators!

1. Yes, but that's nothing...

Compared with Jonathan Lemire’s breathless recitation of the entire story over and over and over and over again. And after saying that this bears no resemblance to the Trump case, he then goes on and on and on about their equivalency. Good thing I didn’t eat breakfast.

2. One of the best things about President Biden is he doesn't take criticism personally

Unlike the giant butt hurt putin Republican Party. To me the whole thing sounds like a little bit of sloppy staff work combined with the deep grief and mourning he was feeling for his son at the time. I think we need to find out what is in these documents approximately. We probably never will because they are classified. I have a feeling they were briefing memos that probably are no longer pertinent. Now we find that Trump is taking millions directly from MBS. But they want to say Biden is compromised? Bullshit

Thanks for taking one for the team.

I sure hope Joe has cleaned house again at the Secret Service! Since I first read about these documents, I've felt strongly that at least some of them were planted by someone.

With McCarthy 2nd in the line of succession, extreme caution is definitely in order imo.

6. Somehow VP volume of document is larger than lowly representative

Plus, the VP is working until his last day. Usually the last 6 weeks in office is low activity in the House, so few classified docs coming in while working on transitioning out.

Joe just doesn't seem to understand that the VP probably gets ten times more classified docs than a low level rep.

second, Jim Jordan is privileged to national security documents? Same for McCarthy.

Shakes head that our national security is at stake.

9. Many of us here brought or bring work home from the office or work at home.

Many more of us routinely handle(d) documents in the workplace.

HOW MANY OF US now have loose documents showing up in odd places in the house, garage, pool equipment shed, wherever? Maybe used papers a client faxed over to pad Christmas ornaments for storage instead of clipping them into the file?

Okay, we wouldn't ourselves.

But perhaps many of us have memories of hiring supposedly high performing people into our highly competitive offices only to find they typically mishandled papers and were prone to stuffing them, not into their files, but into odd boxes just to get them out of sight?

10. The problem is that at Biden's level, he is not going to sift through boxes of papers

Most people don't understand or won't understand this. Joe has a staff of people whose job it is to keep him organized. One of their jobs is to handle government documents properly. I'm sure they go through training. But for whatever reason they didn't catch everything that they should have.

While it's Joe's responsibility because it's his staff, it seems has if they let him down. But he is handling this with transparency. That's all we can ask.

My guess is because everyone thought Joe was done with politics, I wonder if more senior staffers hadn't moved on to other jobs, leaving a less experienced group to pack up.

And I'm skeptical of the items found in the garage. I could see a few things getting stored in his post VP office. But not the garage. The Biden's aren't some pack rats stuffing boxes in their garage.
