Yeah, yeah, yeah, people are calling for DOJ to investigate. It turns out that Prince Bone saw owns 93% of the new LIV golf league.
Funny how Prince Bone saw has paid Trump millions to hold tournaments at Trump courses. Another tournament is scheduled for this year.
Wow, I mean, Jared getting 2 billion dollars and Trump getting millions, I wonder what Trump gave to Prince Bone saw that was so valuable, hmm, classified documents?

(21,408 posts)When Trump was impeached the PGA was scheduled to hold a major tournament at Trump's course, the PGA pulled out, shafted Trump. The Brits followed suit by dropping Trump's course in Scotland for the British Open. Trump was furious with the PGA and this new league was designed to crater the PGA tour. Big money payouts, everyone wins something, tourneys are only 3 days. The Saudis paid PGA tour players huge signing bonuses to pull them away from the PGA tour.
I bet my new driver that Trump was the driving force behind LIV.

Someone tried to warn us that an ignorant dipshit, that could be triggered by a tweet, should be nowhere near the most powerful position in the world.
We are still going to be finding the damage...financially, politically, internationally and morally...that this fuckstick and his brain-dead, amoral MAGAt asshat supporters have wrought for 1,000 years.

(1,293 posts)why when I was getting one of my Degrees in the early 90's, the Prof and head of the department advised us all to go out and learn to play golf and hang out at the clubs for connections.
Business has been going on at these places obviously for a long time on even higher levels. Ugh! I always knew there was a reason I disliked the sport.

In 2012, I think, one of the major golf magazines anonymously surveyed the players for their electoral preference in Obama vs. Romney. 80% of the field chose Romney.
The signing bonuses were designed to make it an offer the pros couldnt refuse. Im not certain that blackmail was involved if you consider Phil Mickelson who would grab the green asap. Its despicable, in my opinion.

(19,204 posts)He seems like a nice guy, but he's a degenerate gambler. He owed tens of millions in gambling debts, and his PGA playing days are all but over. There was only one way for him to procure the money to pay off his debts: LIV.
I hope he's gotten some help for his gambling addiction. Selling your soul to the Saudis can get very expensive.

(19,204 posts)Most established country clubs in the U.S. and Canada have enjoyed a relationship with the PGA for over a century. They're not going to risk that relationship for a quick buck from Saudi Arabia.
Trump only has allegiance to himself and his bank account.
Just like the Democratic Party (Trump once was a Democrat, but they wouldn't allow him a seat near any power within it, so he became a republican) the PGA has shunned his gaudy, incessant need for self-promotion. Trump would demand more concessions from the PGA than they give to anyone else. They won't do that.
LIV is custom made for someone like Trump. Everything is transactional with him, and I'm sure the Saudis will make deals with him for access.
They're perfect for each other. They're both treacherous back-stabbers who wouldn't give a second thought about screwing others into the ground.

(358 posts)LIV is yet another installment to prove Rick Wilsons book and hypotheses; Everything Trump Touches Dies. Greg Norman, Phil Michelson, Brooks Koepka, and all the other douchebags who signed onto this disaster should have heeded Wilsons message. It should be required reading for anyone who considers groveling at the feet of Donald Trump.
