Why were $1,500 hr. attorneys packing up boxes for Pres. Biden?

I think I have my answer, I could not understand why President Biden would have his attorneys doing menial labor.

The lawyers were not Biden lawyers, they were White House counsel lawyers committed to the office of the Presidency, not to President Biden.

I still need one more step then; why were White House counsel attorneys doing menial labor?

It wasn't menial labor anyhow; they weren't just packing boxes. They would have been sorting the documents to determine what should be turned over to NARA. That's definitely a lawyer's job. One thing lawyers do a whole lot of is review huge numbers of documents.

I think only large corporate CEOs and dictators make that sort of money. My son the paralegal spends much of his work days sorting and organizing piles of legal documents for a small attorney's office.

I keep wondering how they missed so many sensitive documents and I'm confident Joe and/or President Obama would have warned them about it. Surely there are standard protocols for handing documents during presidential transitions.

This whole damned fiasco smells fishy too me.

Apparently they were instructed that if they came across one marked classified or secret, they were told to set it aside and not to look at it.

I have read no reports that $1500/hr lawyers were actually packing boxes of document and loading them onto trucks.

I would believe that skilled lawyers would supervise the sorting of documents, and designate which documents should be returned to the archives or originating agencies, and leave the actual packing and loading to others.

mistakenly took some papers with them and if they were found promply gave them back to where they belong. This wouldn't even be news if Trump hadn't pulled the bullshit he did.
