The West just needs to do what it can WITHOUT escalating this into a thermonuclear war... which it's NOT worth.

3. Not to downplay any civilian deaths, but I'm shocked that number isn't substantially higher

Civilian populations feel the brunt of losses in war.

Historically, roughly 10 civilians die for every soldier killed in war.

It's surprisingly low and might be even lower because those numbers came from the Ukrainians.
