If it was me in January 2025 with the House going back to Democratic control

Along with the nuts that just got back on committee I would do everything I can to make McCarthy's life miserable.

That area is and historically has been insular and conservative. Oh, they loves them some immigrants so long as they are only there for planting and harvest, and stay quiet and out of town.
Doesn't matter if those immigrants were fellow Americans (migrant black or white sharecroppers or climate refugees like the "Oakies" ), Mexicans, Russians, Asians - workers stay in their place, and the good church-going city folk can live their lives the way they want.
It became worse after the Government destroyed the Japanese farms and businesses during the Internment - families like the McCarthys and Nunes' didn't have to pretend to be polite to their equally successful but not White neighbors anymore.
Too many wannabe plantation owners or Ag-corporate sell-outs.
There are some good people there, but the power base has always been conservative bordering on John Bircher.

The man is dumb as a rock and way less useful.

Kevin thinks he has great power now.

I don't think he will resign.
