Santos denies having been a drag performer

Rep. George Santos on Thursday shot down claims that he once performed as a drag queen, the latest allegation about the freshman member whose fabrications on his own resume have embroiled him in scandal in recent weeks.

“The most recent obsession from the media claiming that I am a drag Queen or “performed” as a drag Queen is categorically false,” Santos said in a tweet. “The media continues to make outrageous claims about my life while I am working to deliver results. I will not be distracted nor fazed by this.”

The New York Republican, who has admitted to fabricating significant portions of his background, denied the new claims revealed in a tweet Wednesday from MSNBC reporter Marisa Kabas, who posted a photo she alleges to be of Santos dressed in drag in 2008. Kabas said she spoke with Eula Rochard, a Brazilian drag queen who allegedly was friends with Santos when he lived near Rio de Janeiro, who said she and her friends knew the now-congressman as Anthony or his drag name, Kitara.

Following Kabas’ tweet, other reports popped up with Santos’ alleged former acquaintances claiming he competed as a drag queen in Brazilian beauty pageants 15 years ago.

It's the gop that has to decide if they are ok with "him" having been a drag queen - something that is currently on their bogey man list - or not. Pictures are there. Witnesses are there. And no doubt video will emerge.

I doubt they will do anything. they need his vote, and he is playing an excellent foil to allow their evil plans and actions to go unreported. Win-win.
