Should she retire because of her age, or because she's annoying to listen to? The first reason isn't a good one; it's ageist. The second reason I'd buy. But I deal with her annoyingness by not watching her, and I recommend others who find her annoying to do the same.

She's just not very good at her job and appears to be getting worse. I don't think Mitchell was ever cut out to be a cable news host. She was much better at interviews. Hosting a show takes a special skill set that I don't think she ever had. Meanwhile, listening to her is very painful and I rarely turn on the TV when she is on.

Her ratings are terrible and have been terrible, and yet she persists.

It's beyond ratings and people watching her at this point.

And I stopped watching her years ago -- I would purposefully boycott her time slot -- and yet I know she's still terrible because usually when she says something especially stupid (which happens, what, every show now?), it usually generates outrage on social media that often finds its way here.
