Are any of you looking for some 'stuff' from Obama?

Ladies, don't go there! That's not what I mean!

Today I have seen in so many places (comments on web pages with articles about the election, Facebook, etc) that all of the people who voted for Obama yesterday are looking to have their need for 'stuff' fulfilled. He's got the free cheese we need, we are so determined to never have a job and always live off of those who do, and we have to get our welfare checks from him, etc.

I'm here to announce that I don't need any stuff from President Obama, my hand is not out for anything. We are consistently broke but I know how to make do and I'm teaching my children the same.

On the contrary, I voted for President Obama so he can get some good stuff done for this country, even stuff that will benefit those hateful people who have such a narrow view about over half of the people of the United States of America.

I gotcher stuff *right here*!!

lots of the big yard signs on stakes, will use the stakes for craft projects, the screws will be recycled for other jobs, and the actual signs will be cut up and used to make other signs for various projects. no waste for now

Talked with a Republican yesterday who ridiculed the idea of Californians increasing their taxes because everyone knows California has taxes that are too high to begin with. Can't fathom that some people understand taxes are how we pay for schools and parks and roads and first responders and....I'm sure her little mind is stuck on "Does..not..compute..." today.

That I secured back when B*sh was in the White House.

I used it to earn a professional credential. I have a well-paying job for which I work around 55 hours a week. I have a mortgage and a car loan. I pay my taxes. I'm a middle-aged white, Christian male, and a Gulf War veteran. Demographically, I suppose I should be a republican. But I voted proudly for President Obama in two elections now, and I couldn't be happier.

If someone needs food assistance, unemployment compensation, disaster relief, etc, I'll gladly help pay for them out of my taxes. Because that's the only way it's going to work. Either we're all in this together, or we are Somalia without the pirate ships.

I'm paying back my student loan a month at a time. But I will always owe the federal government for making possible all of the things I enumerated above.
Let's move FORWARD, America!

But, I have to tell you that I'm in the camp that feels that your student loan would be a benefit of your service and time in the Gulf.

Thank you for your service and your wonderful thoughts here.

You can talk to it but she's afraid of giving it wrong directions.

free cell phones somehow (what I've seen seems to indicate that's what the issue is with the wingnuts) to poor people I don't see what the big deal is. In this day and age, if you don't have a phone in order to manage your life or as a way for a employer/potential employer to reach you, then you will remain poor. It's second in importance behind access to transportation. I would have no problem with my taxes going to help people in this regard.

excellent judgment in many instances (OBL), health care reform, car increase of mpg to over 54 mpg, setting aside millions of acres of preserved wildlands, common sense, his way of thinking things over carefully before acting.

My free stuff? All of that was free! Except it was in exchange for my vote.

the school levy so that the schools could buy new technology for the students. It passed easily, even though it will raise everyone's property taxes. We care about education here. We're Democrats.

I hope President Obama can do what the country needs, whether it benefits me or not. I'm a Democrat.

If we can get the house back in '14 I'd like to see the Employee Free Choice Act brought back to the table and hopefully passed. It's time to repair at least some of the damage that 3 decades of rethug economic terrorism has done to the working class in this country. I have never had a problem working for a living, I'd just like the ability to be decently compensated for it once again.
