Classified material is not the same as Secret or Top Secret. It could be an employees resume for God's sake I don't know what the parameters are for these labels and it appears the MSM chooses not to know either

Biden invited DOJ to search his home & gave unfettered access, fully cooperating without subpoena or warrant. Six classified documents found after full search. This should end the drip, dry, drip of revelations and differentiates it from Trump's case.

So unless someone can prove that he's had these files since Jan. 20, 2017 it should be legal for him to have them.

Someone might prove me wrong, but I'm pretty sure that "classified" is not an official designation on Government documents.

The classifications I've seen are:

Unclassified

Confidential

Secret

Top Secret

But it’s common to refer to anything that isn’t unclassified as classified. They wouldn’t be marked that way, obviously, that is, they would be marked with the actual classification.

our inability to control access to our secrets.

There are supposed to be about 4 million security clearances. That’s a lot of clearances. (Surely we don’t need that many!) Imagine how many documents 4 million people have access to!!

Our classification system is antiquated and our control system is non existent. Sure, there should be consequence for the mishandling of classified docs and I don’t excuse Biden or the orange guy but it’s pretty clear no one took the whole “classified document” thing seriously.

The agencies involved need to get together immediately to hash out a whole new system and who has access and who has responsibility to track the details of each “classified” doc. Why are we sill using paper for heavens sake???

Clearly, security rules have not been enforced and may in fact be unenforceable. We walk around assuming “the government” is taking care of things but it is simply not true. Time to pay attention to the details. We pay a lot of people a lot of money to take care of our business….we are not getting our money’s worth!

Does anyone in this discussion know what the process is to obtain a classified document while in office?
You would think the that they would check it out like a library book. If you don't return it, they would come after you and fine you. The above would eliminate the current issue with Trump, Biden and others from happening. Release the National Archives on them while in office or as they leave.

That completely nullifies his whining.

We have a commercial news media that depends on money from profit-making business advertising, so it is going to do whatever it can to report sensation, and leave out anything reasonable or factual. So many people in this country lack critical thinking skills, it gives the media the ratings they need.

Trump and his supporters live in another dimension. They can't reason, think, or accept anything that doesn't float their boat. Mindless idiots, and goodness, we have to keep listening to all of this absolute crap from people who do not know what they are talking about.
