I don't think I've ever felt as conflicted in a lifetime of voting.

I have a lot of family that still lives there though and they come to me for political advice since they pay less attention. Not sure what to say on this.

Congressional representatives, because to run for Senate you must give up Congress. If Swallwell makes a bid, we will be three down.
So cross your fingers that their districts have some more great Dems lined up.

I don't live in California so I won't be able to vote for Mr. Schiff, but I can donate to his campaign. He's a great Democrat. 👍

If Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) retires as many expect in 2024, Mr. Schiff appears likely to run for Senate. It is possible that Mr. McCarthys pettiness could redound to the political benefit of his fellow Californian. He might have laid the groundwork for Mr. Schiff to succeed Ms. Feinstein not only as a senator but also in a leading role on the Senate Intelligence Committee.
