CA-SEN: The problem with Feinstein waiting until 2024 to announce any reelection plan.

The California candidate filing deadline is December, 2023 for the March 5, 2024 primary. No prospective candidate has the luxury of waiting for Feinstein to male a formal announcement.

After all, there’s already the beginnings of a field of candidates.

isn't running for re-election and she has "blessed" others to go ahead and make their own announcements, just as Adam Schiff verified this week.

She deserves the respect of announcing her retirement in her own time.

Multiple threads on the same topic start to seem like a stealth-attack on a respected Democratic Senator.

Give it a rest.

But I think she wasn't aware of the upcoming deadlines when she said she would make an announcement "next year" and that is causing confusion in activist circles, which is why Katie Porter was criticized by some for announcing so early.

Those who intend to run for her seat and those contemplating a run are VERY WELL AWARE that Sen. Feinstein is not going to seek re-election.

Katie Porter was criticized "by some" for making the announcement on the day of a mass shooting locally, and not because Dianne Feinstein hasn't publicly announced her retirement.

No one who is remotely savvy about CA politics has an iota of doubt about that. As has been explained in the many previous threads you've started on the same topic.

for flailing at those who might not rush to deliver the senate seat to Katie Porter and hardly a vote of confidence in her chances.
