They know that an economic calamity is the only way they can be sure of ousting Biden next year.

And for today's Repugs, a depression would be a small price to pay - all the more so since they and their bankrollers might actually make a killing in the bargain (naked short-selling, etc.).

Justice matters.

"Our top priority, our most pressing issue is to stop CRT in our schools!"

What do you mean, CRT?

"Well, you know, CRT. I don't know much about it, but I know I don't like it."

What do you not like about CRT?

"I don't want to . . . uh, you know, I can't really say definitely, but I don't like it."

So, is there something in particular that you've heard?

Putin can't win a physical war with America. But he can win one by buying enough Republicans, strike enough deals with the ultra rich and Right Wing Organizations to make sure legislation doesn't get passed that could help Americans.

IF...that is the case, the Republicans, through Putin, have already won. They succeeded in delaying any kind of progress or decent laws that would help common Americans to the great benefit of the American Wealthy.

Think of what could have been accomplished (in addition to a lot already) the last two years without the theatrics, BS and hidden greed and agendas from the Right in Washington...not to mention even a few on the left. Think what might have become law without a couple of Democrat's greed and desire to do the bidding of certain special interest groups!

The Big Lie isn't about 2020 election, it's to distract from governing this country using the ongoing lies from the Right and the media carrying water for them.

If we follow the money, I'd bet it goes right to Moscow.

No better way to defeat America than to pay its law makers to do nothing or pollute the Congress. And we know who has that money and most likely where it's coming from and going to!

Strange times. This QOP group is unrecognizable and neither are the people I once thought of as their supporters. They are just gone in their own self delusion and fake reality.

15. Biden's folks should come up with a bogus initiative they can cut
Fri Feb 3, 2023, 02:50 PM
Feb 2023

Under the old Hays code in the movie industry, producers had to submit scripts to the Hays Office so Hays' people could cut out the objectionable parts. Because they always felt they had to cut something, screenwriters would add an obviously objectionable scene for the Hays people to show they were doing their job. The original shooting script for Citizen Kane, for example, had a bordello scene written just for that purpose.

So maybe the Biden team could make up some squirrelly funding initiative like "The Endangered Jackalope Breeding Program" and let the GOPers crow about cutting it. That jackalope thing is just an example but they would have to find something that's both not-real and would not suddenly gain support among red district constituents -- a tough needle to thread.
