(1,972 posts)...and some of them have heeded my wife's advice on how much pizza to eat and how much beer to drink.
I've received lots of very good advice over the years.
I could lend it to you if you'd like.
It's hardly used, almost new.
And it's very good advice! Trust me!

(29,885 posts)Just like no one can say that the person elected President will live through their term in office. I dont consult actuarial tables before casting my vote.

(29,885 posts)Actuarial data is meaningless when applied to a single individual. Joe Biden could outlive us all. TFG, on the other hand, cant rely on good genes to keep him going forever - not with a lifetime of poor nutrition and abuse of pharmaceuticals.

(4,358 posts)ie, expecting to be dead, my wife and I were watching Dateline this weekend and the story was about a woman killed in her home in a posh California neighborhood. The interviewer said to the son "You never think it would happen to you do you?"....well who frack does? "No Dan, I always thought my mom would have her throat slashed at home, I just had a feeling"
So maybe you're one of those that do expect it to happen to you!

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
