..... to be a stripper too. The stripper part I don't really care about but her gun love is sick. How many
mass shootings in Florida?

I have had a few guns for years 2 pump 20 gauge shotguns, 1 .22 rifle for critters, and a .30-.30
rifle that I never use. BTW Sandy Hook kind of stopped me from hunting. The assault rifles and
.9 mm pistols are just ugly killing machines.

(29,949 posts)Lots of Democrats have lots of guns in WI.
Mr Lake had nine before we moved to Costa Rica. CR doesnt like guns.
Guns get passed down through generations. They hold great memories for Mr Lake with his dad.
Guns are like pit bulls. Its about the humans that keep them. Not the gun or the pit bull.
Mr Lake puts AR15 into separate category.
They are weapons of war.
Just two peoples opinions.

(44,797 posts)I can certainly understand admiring a precision piece of machinery. My grandfather had a really cool nine-shot Smith and Wesson long barrel .22 revolver. Its like you said the AR 15 is a different category. It is designed for mass killing nothing else. I look at people who are always brandishing guns as the worst kind of coward.

(11,767 posts)But I get you about the guns as well. My family and I have owned firearms since I was a child. We don't love them. We use them for target shooting and have been hunting. We recognize that they can be deadly if used negligently or purposefully to harm people. I do not understand putting so much attention and emotion into an object.
I like my car. It drives well. I like the guitars I have, they make good music. I do not LOVE any object. Animals I can see loving. I used to love all the dogs that I had throughout my life, but those were living creatures that engaged in some kind of mutual exchange.
The guns are VERY real to people who "love" them. Their ideas of what guns are, are just very distorted in their minds. I used to belong to some forums where firearms owners of our own political ideology gathered, to be free from the craziness of right wingers, but even that was too much for me in terms of how much time and energy people were putting into displaying, modifying, shopping for, etc... their firearms. What was significantly different in those forums was the absence of the "killing fantasies" that right wingers seem to be very aroused by.

(196,489 posts)While serving in the U.S. Air Force and attending the University of West Florida, Luna modeled and appeared in publications such as Maxim and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.[2][6] Maxim selected her as the "Hometown Hottie" for Fort Walton Beach in 2014.[7] Also that year, Luna worked briefly as a waitress at a gentleman's club in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.[8] She has worked as the director of Hispanic engagement for Turning Point USA, a producer for PragerU, and a reporter for the conservative media company El American.[9]

And yes she will make millions and millions of dollars pushing guns, God, and "free market solutions"
to the rubes I just hope if she has kids they don't find one of her guns.

I suppose though it is just a little fun salaciousness at the expense of a woman. Not like actually slut-shaming
Botany
(77,315 posts).... she is selling her sex appeal (and fine good for her) but at the same time she is also selling guns,
family values, anti LGBT memes, Christian values, and being a Latina too. She also claims to be a
Jewish Christian too. But what is most appalling about her is her wearing an assault rife pin on the
floor of the House. The post was not supposed to be an attack on other women and i have worked
hard and supported women's rights and female candidates for years too.

(Simon & Garfunkle had a piece called "7 O'clock News/Silent Night." Wiki summarizes, "the track is a sound collage juxtaposing a rendition of the Christmas carol "Silent Night" with a simulated "7 O'clock News" bulletin consisting of actual events from the summer of 1966." )

Not only is Luna almost certainly not Jewish, but also according to several family members, reports the Washington Post, Luna's paternal grandfather Heinrich Mayerhofer, who died in 2003, served in the armed forces of Nazi Germany when he was a teenager in the 1940s.
"I was raised as a Messianic Jew by my father, Luna had told the Jewish Insider, clarifying that she identifies as a Christian. I am also a small fraction Ashkenazi."....
The Washington Post reported that Luna, who is now considered the first Mexican American woman to represent Florida in Congress, at one time described herself as Middle Eastern, Jewish or Eastern European.
There were also several other discrepancies in her account of her own heritage and upbringing, according to the Post, which allegedly resulted in the congresswoman representing herself as coming from more humble beginnings than she truly does.
Messianic Jews are by definition not members of the Jewish faith.
