Ramzan Kadyrov, a key ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has begun rattling off threats about attacking Poland after Ukraine.
Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, suggested Monday that Russia should denazify and demilitarize Poland next.
What if, after the successful completion of the NMD, Russia begins to denazify and demilitarize the next country? After all, after Ukraine, Poland is on the map! I will not hide that I personally have such an intention, Kadyrov said on Telegram. I personally have such an intention, and I have repeatedly stated that the fight against Satanism should continue throughout Europe and, first of all, on the territory of Poland.
Kadyrov warned Tuesday that the time has come for the West to fall to its knees before Russia, predicting that the so-called special military operation in Ukraine, would be over by the end of 2023.

(12,484 posts)Germany invaded Poland with their top of the line elite military units, far before they'd been decimated on the Russian front.
Germany scored a convincing and decisive victory in Poland and no, I don't think there were any regrets in Berlin about that move.
Now, invading Russia... there were certainly second thoughts about that in Berlin.
Oh and the pic above is a young "Lufthilferin" IIRC, a boy who helped the Defense forces in the last months of WW2

(66,462 posts)Yeah, Germany didn't regret invading Poland until they ended up losing the war the invasion started. Russia is already at that place where they have to draft very unwilling, incompetent cannon-fodder. I don't know why Putin is even bothering to rattle his saber; a saber is about all he has left.

And nukes are the REAL concern, IMHO.

(19,270 posts)US Abrams, Korean main battle tanks, Korean howitzers, Korean fighter jets. Some imported, but much of it licensed to be built locally in Poland, so a very short supply chain. All top of the line stuff that will smoke any 50 yr old Soviet junk Russia has left in storage.
And that's on top of the HUNDREDS of German Leopard tanks they still have, even after transferring dozens to Ukraine.
Poland has an incredibly strong, modern military right now, specifically designed to fuck Russian shit up. And that's even without the support of fellow NATO members, which they obviously would get anyway.
Go for it.
