where his major is American history. Recently I asked him how he would be teaching the Civil War… would DeSantis insist that our Black ancestors arrived in 1960 on jet planes invited here by the sports and entertainment industry?

He reckoned that was an interesting take and not beyond the governor’s revisionist capabilities.

I would have chuckled at this just two or three years ago, but this man scares me more and more each day. People say he is not as nutty as Trump but I’m not sure about that.

I’m glad he’s still here n doing well. FGCU is just south of me n I hope that he and his fellow scholars make a difference n change things around..we need the young people to take a stand
