I think Biden even convinced Kevin McCarthy

Here's why: for the first 2/3 of this speech McCarthy was stone faced.

Sometimes he shook his head (negative).

One time he rolled his eyes.

But in the last 1/3 he started changing his demeanor.

Sometimes he even smiled at the humor.

He nodded on at least three issues Biden brought up.

Damn, that was good!

OK, OK, naysayers, it won't last. But it was pretty amazing. It shows that it got through to McCarthy that he has to compete with GOOD GOVERNMENT.

did a great job. Energetic, funny, serious and forced the Republicans to stand!

6. I Was Pleased

Overall I saw McCarthy kind of supportive of several Biden remarks. Ignoring the expected response to the gun control and Roe decisions… overall he seemed polite. I’m sure MTG will be cranking the vice tighter in the coming days to punish him for his lack of fidelity to the maga cause.

8. In this past month, McCarthy has had to deal with the howling monkeys in his own caucus...

...and then has gone to the White House to sit down and talk policy with Joe Biden. Of the two, you can bet that he found it more pleasant to be dealing with Biden.
