I think santos positioned himself on the aisle because he was somehow going to disrupt President Biden's reception when he entered the house chamber, but when Romney dressed him down on his way in it threw santos off his game and he couldn't go through with his plans. Just speculating this morning, and now I'm off to work.

(102,283 posts)I seriously doubt, but I thank Romney for stepping in, regardless.
Romney did a good thing.

But could Romney have that much power over Santos to make him stop his plan?

(47,108 posts)Santos is seen mouthing off and smirking.
That is why I am not sure if R could dissuade him from anything.
Santos is a sociopath. He has no empathy or shame.
No conscience. He is a good representative of the GOP, fits right in.

aisle seats are great for quick exits.
as i get older and bathroom trips more frequent i have come to relish them even more.
Santos has few friends there
Romney used him for a punching bag (supposedly...might have just been show) in front of all them cameras.
speech over? out the door. no awkward gotcha interviews. no repulsive glare photo opps by your fellow congress types.
There was no plus for him to stick around...out the the door quick like a bunny.
at least that is what i would do.
