The State of the Nation was made clear.
We have a great president. We have greatness in the Democratic party. On our side and the side that is holding this together, we have responsible, caring people. On the other side we have tantrums, lack of impulse control and liars accusing the honest of lies. Whenever you hear someone make an argument on the conservative side that seems to make sense on the surface, remember that they are ignoring the splintery 4x4 in their eye and pointing to the dust in ours. The two face of our nation were make clear last night.
MTG is the face of the Republican Party. They voted her in, they gave her positions of authority, they support her behavior. Ted Cruz is the face of the Republican Party. The face of the Republican party is so far gone that it almost looks like Romney is an honest compassionate man.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the face of the Republican Party. She was spokesman for the leader of their party, She was elected by them to govern a state. She was chosen to be their face after the State of the Union Address. A lying monster who breaths partisanship and calls it Christianity. Her face is the face of the Republican Party.
Twenty years ago I would have argued we need two sides in the debate that makes up our democracy. Now the curtain has been pulled way back. The cruelty hidden by Ronald Reagan's smile as he rejoiced when AIDS spread is now plain to see on the face of the Republican Party. They have nothing to offer. They have stood by and supported lie after lie. They have committed treason after treason and there are only a few of them who would bother to cross the street if that was the sacrifice it took to save our nation. When push comes to shove, they will throw down the responsible members of their party in an instant.
We currently have a Democracy and parts are strong, but the only thing holding our government and democracy together are the Democrats who still believe that truth has value.
