How strong, brave, caring, and compassionate a nation is Ukraine?

This excerpted paragraph from an article in the NY Times tells something about them as they are being brutalized in a war for their very survival.

Governments around the world were quick to respond to requests for international assistance after Monday’s devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, deploying rescue teams and offering aid.

>snip< (the article then has a paragraph each for many countries)

Ukraine, which is battling against a Russian invasion, said it “stands ready to send a large group of rescue workers” to Turkey. “We are working closely with the Turkish side to coordinate their deployment,” the country’s foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, said on Twitter.

I don't expect any group of people or nation to be perfect, but it sure does my heart good to see something like this considering what they are going through. Resilient, strong, and a nation and people to be acknowledged.

Obviously their mission is to aid in the rescue/recovery efforts.

This in the face of the Russians shelling constantly 24/7 in the East in civilian areas.

I have an idea. How about for this year's Time Person of the Year they name the Citizens of Ukraine?
