SOTU question - Did Biden move rebuttal back to an unwatchable time?

We watched it last night. The whole family. My daughter had a SOTU Bingo card she made in class.

At the end of the speech President Biden stayed and shook hands for quite a while. The chamber was mostly empty at that point. I commented to my wife and daughter that he may be extending this to make the rebuttal get moved back and thereby cutting down on the number of people who watched it. Frankly that was really a favor to The Uncredible Huck because she was horrible.

Anyone else see this as a little dig/trick by Joe?

The President is known for his staying and talking to people.. that is truly his MO.. but by being Joe...he may surely have took the air out of the rebuttal.. I did not stay up for it.. It was too late for me..

He spent so many years in that building and has so many personal connections in both chambers. It seemed genuine to me.

and talk to people pretty much everywhere he goes. It has long driven his aides and handlers crazy as it is so hard to keep him on schedule, but it is who he is and they know it.

...who likes chatting with people. I've met him six times, and he's always been chatty with me.

As far as gamesmanship, I would think delaying a speech by Sarah Huckabee Sanders to a marginally small audience would be at the absolute bottom of a list of accomplishment goals.
