Is it possible for me to get the hearts?

1. I Don't Think You Automatically Get The Hearts, You Have To Purchase Them nt

3. You get hearts when you make a donation,

or renew your star membership, during the period leading up to valentine's day. (Any donation during that period starts - or extends - your donation for a year.)

I renew my membership in February, since I get to play with hearts as an added bonus. This year, either the hearts period was late or the membership renewal notes went out early. I got my expiring membership notice a few days before the heart period opened. But I noticed the date and just waited a few days - assuming the heart period would open soon.
