But this is a big story that needs more coverage and investigation.

They opened an investigation against their own team!

(23,319 posts)The stupids are holding hearings. This wont end well for them.

(82,849 posts)First, you shouldn't let the witnesses say anything, because they keep contradicting the point Republicans are trying to make. Second, you shouldn't let the Democrats on the committee say anything because they keep asking questions of the witnesses that elicits sworn testimony that shows the Republicans are full of it. They shouldn't let anyone else talk, and just spend the entire hearing time yapping and huffing their own farts, because reality is so biased against them.

(15,646 posts)on these Rs than they ever would have imagined. Wouldnt it be neat if at some point they come to the realization that their investigations are confirmation of their own projection more than anything else and they simply stop holding them. But thats probably giving them too much credit.

(21,573 posts)making the claims... where else... on twitter.
Takket
(21,573 posts)but if you are making up bullshit like "social media silencing" your party, why the hell, knowing it is bullshit, would you call on people to testify knowing they are going to say UNDER OATH, that your claims are bullshit?
i mean, the rethugs came out with this whole censoring bullshit just so they could have an excuse to meddle with social media and ensure it becomes a right wing cess pool. then Musk kind of saved them the trouble by spending 45 billion to do for rethugs in congress what they wanted to do with legislation.
at that point they should have just walked away from the issue lol
this hearing was idiotic. if you are a rethug.....

(19,066 posts)They know that no matter what the testimony reveals they'll control the narrative which they've already set to be that they found absolute proof Twitter targeted mostly Republicans for removal of posts. And they have Musk also releasing data selectively that only tells half of the story.
The fact is, Trump was in the White House and the White House was the one pressuring Twitter.

(12,869 posts)They really should avoid launching any public hearings in which actual facts can come to light.

(6,017 posts)...this part, which is far worse than Twitter having complaints in a database, would likely not be in the spotlight right now.
