"SNIP........
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) was booted from his perch on the powerful Armed Services Committee last month as retribution for delaying the confirmation of numerous Defense Department nominees last year, and for his role in challenging Mitch McConnells hold as the chambers top Republican, Roll Call reports.
When the Armed Services panel announced its roster last week, Hawleys name was conspicuously absent from the list a surprise move that came directly from McConnells office.

I am enjoying it, though. Hawley is cringey. Couldn't happen to a more worthy guy.

(23,694 posts)but we have so many Mexican groceries around here that it is pretty easy to find.
Our neighborhood Mexican eatery has a soda called Jalisco which is from Mexico and comes in a variety of flavors. My daughter loves it.
Another Mexican beverage is Topo Chico, a bubbly mineral water from Monterey MX. Far better than Perrier.

(35,176 posts)The first time I really tasted Coke with cane sugar it was from Jamaica. It had a little lime in it too, it was like heaven.
I have rarely seen Mexican Coke here but I have seen it once in a great while and will buy it when I do.
I had almost forgotten about it, thanks for the memory.

(20,870 posts)Reminds me of the cold sodas of my youth.
Pepsi has a cane sugar cola that I like even better, but it's actually harder for me to find and only in six ounce cans.
Another new find you might not yet be aware of are bottles of Arbys Horsey Sauce. It's the best part of Arbys and I've tried to find a horseradish sauce that tastes as good, but failed.
The fine print says "No more hoarding sauce packets".

(20,870 posts)Arbys sauce, Wendys hot chili sauce, ketchup, soy sauce, or maybe taco sauce. Everybody has a stash of something they can't live without.
For me it's packets of Chinese mustard. I can't find it in stores here.

Roll Call reports his main reason for keeping people from being able to start work for most of a year was reportedly an attempt to pressure the SASC committee chairman to hold yet another, politically motivated Afghanistan hearing. Even though the committee had already held three classified and two unclassified hearings.
