Dear Representative Raskin. Leave the bandana home.

Leave the bandana home. Don't bother with it.

Yes, I know, very personal, especially with a head full of hair that you used to have.

But, you can show many of us who underwent chemotherapy and who have not, that you are OK with it. That you are not trying to hide it. That it will pass.

With best wishes.

Another cancer survivor.

Best quote ever. (Telly Savalas)

His trade mark: his shaved head. And the lollypop.

(Didn’t know until I verified the quote just now. He died from complications from two forms of cancer. )

In the first round my head was very sensitive - to heat, cold, wind, sun, you name it. The second time, not so much. So I say, do what ever works for you, dear Representative Raskin!

I did not want my picture taken simply because I did not want to be reminded of it, if I was fortunate enough to survive. I also wore a beanie the entire time I was getting radiation after the chemo.

For anyone that has cancer the hair issue can be traumatic - in my case I didn't like it at all and I felt like a space alien.

Raskin - You do you!!

Just a guess.

Baseball caps? I can think of more attractive options, as are illustrated in 18th - 19th century English novels. I’ve seen several pictures of embroidered brimless hats, often with a tassel, on the heads of distinguished older gentlemen.

is all I need to know to say folks are WAAAAAY OFF BASE. I have nothing but the most intense admiration for Raskin--there fighting for us after the suicide death of his own son and now during his own cancer.

He can wear whatever the hell makes him feel better IMHO and people need to just GET OVER IT.
