Six North Texans have been named Regeneron Science Talent Search scholars

Since I saw a thread about eliminating science education from a school up north, I thought I’d post why science matters.

I saw this story last night and was so proud and also fascinated by their knowledge about these topics. Very smart and very talented. We need them!

1. When I went to school in North Texas, it was about purely science and we were proud of it.

Old, but still proud, Never thought we would go so far from the truth.

2. Dumbing down of America

It has its benefits for the rich and powerful.

It really boggles the mind what has been occurring the last few years. Hate and Fear is all they have, and the power to keep the electorate stupid. Too stupid to know they are being used.


Ah well, at least Texas hasn’t totally done away with science yet.

5. Without science we'd really be screwed

I still have a hard time understanding or comprehending this slide backwards into the abyss of learning.

It appears some people prefer the darkness!

4. I think there are still places that teach science but many of those people flee the state.

6. Yep, can't have smart people doing smart things

Unfortunately, those people are always outsmarted by the people who aren’t afraid to use their minds for the good of all.
