When and why did insoucient lying become the norm. Who, these days in politics has kept their word? Joe?

(19,368 posts)to keep every promise... don't win the next election (as often as those who violate one of those two parameters). Minimal promisers lose. Those who betrayed X/Y/Z to deliver on promises A/B/C also lose.
Differential survival rate between the two groups, bada bing bada boom... Remember, what we've got in office is almost entirely those who have won many, many elections in a row -- IOW, not promise keepers on average.

(20,769 posts)Strangely enough, fellow early walker saw a drop bear scuttle along the dunes, coupla da ys ago.
We rarely see them in the coastal scrub; few gum trees. But it seems the y're there, which is good.

Next year or two will be bad.
