There's delusion in Washington that Kyrsten Sinema isn't running for reelection -- she is. She's raising cash & was just feted at a fundraiser in Palm Beach by Steve Schwarzman.

& in case you are not familiar with Schwarzman, he's a PE giant, a MAJOR beneficiary of the carried interest loophole Sinema protected

Sinema went to Davos with a light schedule & a heavy fundraising game plan.
Sinema's making way too much money and getting way too much attention to give this job up. If she runs as an independent, she's basically handing the Senate seat to the Republican candidate , isn't she?

(85,996 posts)...basically what she does.
While it wouldn't surprise me if she did make another run, either way she'd never want to give up the money, not to mention the attention, from her high-priced exclusive fundraisers. She clearly loves hobnobbing with wealthy donors.
Raising cash and running for re-election seem to be not the same thing anymore.

(14,750 posts)There is a chance she will pull more voters from a radical repug candidate like lake than she will from the dem.
Most dems don't like her at this point. Her rep is as a phony who is in it for herself.

(32,767 posts)If she runs on the dem ticket, she wont win the primary. If she runs on the gqp ticket she wont win that primary either. A bisexual woman on the gqp ticket
nope. If lake runs she will win the primary.
If she runs as an independent, whos going to vote for her? Certainly not the gqp, and certainly not the Dems.

Gallego will be the Dem nominee.
What we can be sure of is Sinemas career ends in 2024, and thats a good thing.

It was a few days back... sorry, can't recall the source now.
