I am grateful for the Hearts, BUT ...

... I am even more grateful for the fact of All of YOU being here.

We will never really know who we've touched, who we have inspired, who we have encouraged, whose spirits we have lifted at exactly the right time, in exactly the right way.

We will never know to a certainty how many emoticons reminded someone they are not alone, or how many K&Rs it takes to say "I am with you" as you join in to mourn the loss of a spouse, a best friend, a beloved pet.

We are family. We laugh together, we cry together. We celebrate our victories - and we often save each other from despair.

I thank you for the Hearts - but I thank you more for being who you are.

We are stronger. I've read many a post - hundreds, thousands - that have impacted my thinking and made my reasoning more solid. Democrats have the edge in intelligence, wisdom, brain power, knowledge. 'The best ideas win' says Joe Biden. That's the lesson of democracy, civilizations, progress. The present stands on the shoulders of the past. We still use knowledge from ancient civilizations. That's what keeps me posting. To do my part to alter our course. Spend your time thinking. Don't do what they do in MAGA squalor.

And would like to thank each and everyone who shared their compassion and wisdom through the years. DU is a Village of caring people. I feel the US is the same.

I am also proud to be a part of the Democratic Party all my adult life.

I have been, literally, addicted to this site since 2000. No posting, just lurked for a long time. There were a lot of other sites I visited, too, but one by one they fell away. This site's layout and ease of maneuvering were reasons for frequenting this site, but it was the members posts that meant, and still mean, the most. Their compassion, intelligence, perseverence when in hard times, the jokes, photos, music appreciation, their love of animals and political knowledge give me more in this one spot than I can get visiting many more sites. We even have breaking news before cable tv.

Thank you for being here, NanceGreggs. You never cease to enlighten. And thank you EarlG and team for keeping it together for us.

Love you all.

I joined right before tRump was nominated. This community had kept me from going off the preverbal deep end. It has given me hope, support, & needed distraction from like minded lovely people. DU is the first place i go online in the morning & the last page i visit before bed. It does my soul good to know that there are still good & decent people out there that care & support each other. The pet updates always make my day. Thank you DU!!😘

I’ve been with DU a long time, through a lot of speeches, news events, elections, Congressional hearings, and one bloody insurrection. Having people to share those things with has impacted my life in ways I’ll never be able to express. I know it’s the same for others.

I only have so many hearts to give but here’s one for you all. ❤️
