But it is hardly isolated to Superbowl coverage. Your comparison is a relevant one, because Obama was far more often referred to as black than biracial in all of the media I consumed during his years in office. It seems pretty widespread.

(19,288 posts)self-identification and are scrupulously respecting that. Rather they call him black because of their own habits or wants -- and would be doing so regardless of whether or not it coincided with his self-identification.

Mahomes seems to be quite settled on being referred to as Black...
