Article is from nearly two years ago
intelligence analysts have been warning that low level tech, often deliberately designed to prey on our cultural scorn about UFOs, has been infiltrating our airspace for many years.
Our team here at The War Zone has spent the last two years indirectly laying out a case for the hypothesis that many of the events involving supposed UFOs, or unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), as they are now often called, over the last decade are actually the manifestation of foreign adversaries harnessing advances in lower-end unmanned aerial vehicle technology, and even simpler platforms, to gather intelligence of extreme fidelity on some of America's most sensitive warfighting capabilities. Now, considering all the news on this topic in recent weeks, including our own major story on a series of bizarre incidents involving U.S. Navy destroyers and 'UAP' off the Southern California coast in 2019, it's time to not only sum up our case, but to discuss the broader implications of these revelations, what needs to be done about them, and the Pentagon's fledgling 'UAP Task Force' as a whole.

(5,811 posts)as if it's a UFO. News reports said the Pentagon did not say what the object was or where it came from. Obviously they know the answer to both of those questions. The Pentagon is engaged in national defense operations so they don't have to say.
I'm so glad the grownups are in charge.

(2,398 posts)Wildly interesting perspective on disturbing current events.
I certainly worry that the US Military establishment is stuck in a last-war-we-fought mentality and unwilling to listen to those who warn of threats outside or beyond conventional thinking. Theyve got so much money that the temptation is to suppose that new threats will also emerge from wildly expensive technologies. You can see this throughout the history of military thinking.

(8,887 posts)I heard an analogy today that were finally seeing this shit because NORAD *finally* adjusted their filters - its as though theyve been searching for shells on the beach and are finally noticing sea glass.
But theyve been warned for years by analysts like this about the intrusions and refused to adjust.
