It's been 770 days since trump inspired the insurrection of our government

And he's running like a viable 2024 candidate,!!.

Thru his blatant negligence, thousands are dead, children separated from their parents, time honored traditions broken.

We've got to all think and act like this is the most absurd thing ever, his running.

Some of the posters who spout the "BE PATIENT" bullshit, have tons of Hearts. Because people like to hear that all will be fine in the end. One of them has posts every single morning predicting Teflon Man's imminent indictments.

One poster who has a million hearts, was posting back in 2021 about how Gaetz was going to be indicted, and soon. Today they were posting some bullshit excuses about why it didn't happen. I'm sure they'll do the same when Teflon Man is not indicted as well.

I too am sick of it.

I think you are right about the fans of some posters. They are trying to be optimistic, and I can't fault them for that. If I could be optimistic about all this, I would.

But I think this is a fascinating take on a particular posting style:

https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=17616216

That's just internet tactics 101

Paint yourself as the biggest fan, most ideologically pure, most politically loyal, most religiously devout, etc., then spend half your time completely blasting people for insufficient enthusiasm and loyalty to whatever Thing is central. Set yourself up as unimpeachable inquisitor of others.

Then go to absolute town ripping the place apart.

Seen it a billion times (Reddit has mods who do this exquisitely). It's really quite effective.

I honestly don't think there are very many trolls here. Just disagreement and various levels of loyalty, enthusiasm, liberalness, etc. Which you'd expect. But if I were someone who wanted to troll, I would absolutely go the route described above.

Perfectly. But don't really understand why the behavior is so rampant. Why can't a person be hopeful but grasp obvious realities?

are more optimistic. About those posters, I have agreed with many of them on most other issues in the past and I know them to be people of good will. I can co-exist with their opinion and simply wish they could co-exist with mine, but for some reason on this topic, they don't seem to be able to. And I'm sorry, but I'll express my frustration with the fact that tfg is still un-indicted whether they approve or not.

But one or two, who came from nowhere and post about nothing else, seem to fit the bill of the description about people whose purpose is just to stir up division.

everyone has their own threshold when absolute optimism hits reality.

Also agree on disrupters who are obviously trying to quell discussion of reality.

This election denying seditionist now claims he's running to lead the government that he attempted to overthrow! What sense does that make??

It is not 770 days since Trunp "inspired" an insurrection.
It is 770 days since Trump planned and lead an insurrection against our government and still walks free.
If nothing happens this year, he goes free.

a legal analyst saying, "well that's it, if he can't be convicted in a political hearing, it would be nearly impossible in a legal setting, where the bar for evidence is higher."

Hopefully there's new evidence since then. I haven't heard of a direct, hard evidence link between insurrectionists and trump with specific instructions. Have you? Thought for sure there'd be one. Thought a voicemail message was rumored.

Washington. I am hoping there is evidence or witnesses to tell us what we already know. It was planned from the White House.

Trump wasn't hoping it would stop certification, he planned it to stop it.

They should have done it already.
