Nikki Haley's campaign message: "Fuck those old men."

She's running on one issue: "It's time for a new generation" which is not so much code, as an announcement that Trump and Biden are too old to be president. This is her entire strategy at the moment.

Okay, so she's against old men running for or being in office. My question is "What is she FOR?"

With typical Republican hypocrisy, she was solidly against Trump in 2016 before he got the nomination. Then, once he was pResident, she kissed his ass and joined his administration. Actually, to be blunt about this, many (most?) politicians will eat shit to gain more power. However, it seems that most Democrats draw a line, while there's no limit to just how much shit most Republicans will eat.

So right now, she's running on the basis that she's a better choice than two old guys who are far too ancient to be anything. But what will she do when someone like DeSantis and other's in their 50's and 60's join the race? What will her new message/motto be? Who knows? Republicans are brilliant at coming up with some new version of snake oil to sell to those who can't get enough snake oil.

I often wonder if we will ever see another Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, or Kennedy in the White House. It seems that Nixon set a very low bar that Republicans have lowered to where that bar can be measured in millimeters.

So let's hear it, Nikki Halley. What do you have to offer America other than the same shit Republicans have been peddling for decades? For instance, where do you stand on Social Security and Medicare?

And what really disturbs me will be the slop-over spread of these tactics to other women candidates.

to flaunt her ageism. Age brings wisdom. The Chinese worship their elders and there is a reason for that. Nimrata should be ashamed of herself. Her OLD parents are ashamed of her

3. Republicans all seem to be running on an "I'm against" platform.

You can also call it the grievance platform.

They spend the days criticizing Biden for crime, inflation, the border, fentanyl abuse etc. I even heard one comment suggesting he's at fault for the Ohio train wreck; the trillion dollar infrastructure bill was passed and Norfolk Southern didn't fix whatever caused the derailment. And I don't believe anyone has determined the cause as yet.

They got lots to bitch about but zilch solutions to offer.

4. She will never get more than 5% of the vote.

The base of the GOP, which votes in their Primary, wants a mean White man who will make the "Libs" cry. Haley flip flops like one of those air blown inflatables they use outside used car dealerships.

She tried to take on Trump, then backed him, then said he was done, then backed him again, and now she thinks she can beat him in an election. Whoever put her up to run thinks that this is a winning strategy? She's already finished and she just announced a day ago.

Who ever figured a MTG, or Lauren Boebert, or Matt Gaetz, or Gym Jordan could have been elected?

Our country is so fucked up at present that a Hitler or a Mussolini (with a different name) could get elected president. And if you don't think so, keep in mind that the Orange Creature was elected in 2016.

6. Differences...

All of the people you mentioned are White and all are representatives who are in heavily gerrymandered districts. Lauren Boebert almost lost last time out and will likely lose in the next election.

Haley is not the demographic that the current Republican base is looking for.

Anyone who looked at their gerrymandered districts. Anyone 25 or older with an R after their name and a pulse could have won. That's what the real problem is.

I find it hard to believe she has any donors at all, other than a few in South Carolina.

7. And yet she chose Pastor John Hagee to help launch her campaign,
Thu Feb 16, 2023, 04:46 PM

saying “I want to be you when I grow up.”

Jeff Sharlet: “Nikki Haley is beginning her presidential campaign launch with an invocation from John Hagee, a pastor who blamed Catholics for the Holocaust, called Hitler a "half breed Jew," predicted the Anti-Christ will be gay, and predicted the end times were beginning in 2014.”

(Aside from that, these two are just normal ‘murcans.)

because it could benefit any younger candidate. Younger blood? Sure Nikki, that's why I would vote for Kamala Harris if Biden was not running. Thanks for recommending that I do that.
