No offense meant to religious people, but when people "find god" after addiction, it is usually just substituting one addiction for another. That woman apparently has little ability to regulate her own emotions or behavior and so has to externalize controls. One of the reasons that Conservatives tend to be so binary and rigid in their thinking.

I am by NO means, an example of mental and physical health, however, I can usually moderate my actions and understand the line between what is acceptable and what is not in society. I impose my own filters and restraints based on what is conducive to people's well being and minimizes harm.

For this woman to want to "homeschool" (no offense to people who homeschool either) any offspring is just another form of externalized control. She needs to be ordered in to intensive therapy so that she can get ahold of her own emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

Jan. 6 rioter who filmed Pelosi laptop theft jailed after jury convicts her on 6 counts

Riley Williams (L) covers her face as she arrive at the E. Barrett Prettyman U.S. District Courthouse on November 18, 2022 in Washington, DC. Williams is on trial for her alleged actions during the January 6th riot at the U.S. Capitol including aiding and abetting the theft of a laptop from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's office.

A federal judge on Monday ordered Riley Williams, a 23-year-old right-wing extremist, taken into federal custody after a jury convicted her on six of the eight counts she faced in connection with the Jan. 6 attack.

.....................

Williams, a follower of the “Groyper” movement, stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, filming rioters breaking into the building, then encouraged members of the mob up a set of stairs toward House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office. She also pushed up against cops and tried to organize other rioters inside the Capitol rotunda.

Williams had faced a total of eight charges: civil disorder, obstruction of an official proceeding, resisting and impeding officers, aiding and abetting theft of government property, and four misdemeanors.

Jurors found her guilty of civil disorder, resisting and impeding officers, and four other misdemeanors. But they deadlocked on obstruction of an official proceeding — a charge which would have carried the lengthiest potential sentence — and the charge of aiding and abetting the theft of Pelosi’s laptop.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson said she had “no confidence whatsoever” that Williams had respect for the rule of law, and granted a government request for Williams to be detained until her sentencing........

She has a real “I don’t give a rip” look on her face. She probably expected a pardon from Trump. She found out there was no pardon huh?

And she can get some treatment for her addiction in prison. And maybe she can figure out the whole homeschooling thing while in there too.

He continued: “It was pretty quick, this study of a different niche viewpoint.
“She would always remark about how white people were the ones being oppressed - especially members of the movement are being oppressed."
The friend also said Ms Williams became “obsessed" with Nicholas Fuentes, a far-right activist who launched the America First podcast.
“She revered him as a God - not as on the same plain as her”.

"Let me out so I can be a mother and wife."

Well lady, Brian Sicknick wanted to be a husband and a father, but you and your friends took that away from him. So, four years in a federal pen - four one-year sentences, served consecutively - will give you plenty of time to think about what you did to him.

It's amazing how "reality" hits ya in the ass when all you can do is watch reruns of Jerry Springer and Pat Robertson.

She should have started a garden a couple of years ago. After all, you reap what you sow.

I agree in general with the opinions expressed in the OP/thread. But there are a few things that we must ask ...... what is her favorite color? Does she like flowers? Bunny-rabbits? These are the types of things her lover needed to clarify. Well, at least in my opinion. I'd need to know before deciding if she should be sentenced to 20 years, or 25 years.
