My beautiful wife, as you know, is in the hospital with heart issues. She was ready to have her valve replaced, in the operating room, when her temperature went up. Had to stop, thankfully before any incisions were done. She currently on antibiotics for pneumonia. Operation should be next week. Any prayers, good vibes, good karma, good thoughts greatly appreciated.
She is my whole world.

(38,532 posts)My aunt was one of the first people to have a valve replacent surgery. It was back in the early 1960s if I remember well. Even though the technology was primitive then, she had many healthy years.
I'm sure they've improved enormously by now and we trust and hope the prognosis will be even better than what it was for my aunt.
All the best!!!

(385 posts)a quick recovery from pneumonia and a successful and untroubled operation. Be strong. I know your concerns; I lost a spouse who was my whole world. I wish you patience and peace of mind. Fear is a poor counselor and it is always best to believe that all will be well. I do.
