Fox News stars and executives privately trashed Trump’s election fraud claims, court document reveal

In one set of messages revealed in the court filing, Carlson texted Ingraham, saying that Sidney Powell, an attorney who was representing the Trump campaign, was “lying” and that he had “caught her” doing so. Ingraham responded, “Sidney is a complete nut. No one will work with her. Ditto with Rudy (Giuliani).”

In multiple instances, Fox News executives and hosts expressed worry over the matter (viewers fleeing to Newsmax) and started to crack down on those at the network who fact-checked election lies. In one case, after White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich fact-checked a Trump tweet pushing election fraud, Carlson said he wanted her fired.

“Please get her fired,” Carlson told Hannity over text message. “Seriously … what the f**k? I’m actually shocked … It needs to stop immediately, like tonight. It’s measurably hurting the company.”

The court filing also revealed that Fox News executives had criticized some of the network’s top talent behind the scenes. Jay Wallace, the network president, said that “the North Koreans” did a “more nuanced show” than then-host Lou Dobbs. Jerry Andrews, the executive producer of “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” referred to host Jeanine Pirro as “nuts.”

Good guys vs. Bad guys. Or maybe it's like the Red Sox vs. Yankees. I am a lifelong Red Sox fan who hates the Yankees. I don't care if the Red Sox were to lose every game....as long as we beat the Yanks. I am sure there a lot of Yankee fans that feel the same way about the Red Sox.

But politics ain't sports. The team you root for has a real impact on your life. Unless you are incredibly wealthy, I see no benefit in rooting for the Republicans...because their policies will destroy you as much as they will destroy the us on the "other" team.
