If ever a true celebration of a life was needed....

It would be for Jimmy Carter.

I've seen some grief and disbelief in recent posts. President Carter is 98, I think. He has had a long and good life. He has ascended the peak of public service and he has carried out good works for most of his life.

Please don't be sad that Jimmy Carter is in his final days; he is a man of faith (I'm not) and his faith will sustain him in accepting that he has reached the end of his long life.

You're lucky to have had him. Time to let go.

He has been a stellar civil servant all his life and has left an example for those who would care to observe.

He has lived a blessed and good life and that should be celebrated.

But his body is worn and he is tired, I only wish him peace and comfort for his family. Rosalyn might follow him soon. I had expected her to pass first for some reason.

Truth is we thought we had lost him a few years ago. He has had a wonderful life of service to others.
My sorrow is for his wife of 75 years.
Agree 100%

Devotion to his wife and family, his state, the military, and our nation. Never still, always looking to make the world a better place. God will celebrate him and Rosalyn.

That’s all one needs to say about him.

If only all public figures who claim to be Christian were 20% as good as him…

when I was first in the military. At the time, I never understood why the officer corp turned on on him being a Naval Academy graduate and submarine officer (a bubble head). I know now, but at the time it just baffled me.

that the passing of such a man, at such an age, is universally celebrated as ‘the way to go’. and ‘a life well lived’
we should all be half so lucky.

pass gently, sir.
