As I expected, they like the fact he is an evangelical Christian, and all in all they mostly say he is a good man, but politically they can't stand him of course.
One moron there said this.
"There is nothing worse (or potentially more evil) than a miserable old man who knows hes about to be Judged by God."
Speak for yourself, moron.

(34,915 posts)The real "miserable" person is the one who posted that--and everyone else of his ilk. I don't think they ever have listened to their own miserable selves. Nothing but grievances and negativity.

(7,080 posts)Carter was on the Larry King show discussing the evangelicals' position regarding women being second class and that he had no use for that religion. Am I wrong?

(69,364 posts)Carter is a Baptist, and like many liberal Baptists, he has strong personal opinions about his relationship with God. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he spoke out against positions he disagrees with.

(363 posts)Sorry you don't like the post, but do you need to be so dismissive to other DUers? The post did no harm and was not totally irrelevant. Why be so cranky? In my view it leads to less welcoming/civil vibe on the site.
