Ex-defense chief: 'I don't know' if Trump appointed me as part of Jan. 6 coup plot

This asshole was put into place to help TFG and the J6 insurrection

https://www.rawstory.com/christopher-miller-january-6/

Former acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller said he is not sure if President Donald Trump installed him to slow the response to the Capitol attack on Jan. 6.

During a Sunday discussion on C-SPAN's Washington Journal program, a caller confronted Miller about his role in the Jan. 6 attack.

"What do you say to all the people that believe that you, Kash Patel, Chad Wolf, Charles Lamb all were installed for one reason, and that's to delay the response on Jan. 6?" a caller named David asked. "They were only deployed after the coup had failed. They failed because [then-Vice President Mike Pence] wouldn't leave the building."

"I think it's complete bull—you know what," Miller shot back. "I think the investigation has revealed that that did not happen, that there was not some sort of cabal or some sort of conspiracy to delay the response to Capitol Hill."

The concept that this traitor is out selling a book is disgusting.

Donald Trump's post-election acting secretary of defense refused to denounce the former president under questioning on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

Christopher Miller, who served as defense secretary from Nov. 9, 2020, until Jan. 20, 2021, filibustered when asked a direct question about the ex-president's role in the Jan. 6 insurrection.

"My question to you is, I didn't see anything in the book that I read -- and I might have missed it -- where you get to the point where your boss, Donald J. Trump, interfered actively in the transfer of legally constitutional transfer of power," said analyst Mike Barnicle. "Why is that?".....

"Your question, though, and I'm serious, thanks for, you know, the question and being a part of that, so the question is, why didn't I call out President Trump for being extra-constitutional or trying to overthrow the government?" Miller said. "Yeah, I've been very clear in previous testimony and in public statements that I think his activities on the 6th and with this, with the transfer of power were not helpful."

"I sound like I'm tap dancing, I know, but it's, like, let the courts figure it out," Miller added. "We impeached the guy, we had the 1/6 Committee and they referred charges. Let's see this out. You guys bring up the questions about the other secretaries of defense and all these things. I'm like, yeah, let's, you know -- decision making and leadership, let's get as much information as we can, and we still are waiting for more information, so court's out for me. I mean, you can criticize me."

A former District of Columbia National Guard official has blasted Lt. Gen. Charles Flynn — brother of disgraced onetime national security adviser Michael Flynn — and Lt. Gen. Walter Piatt as “absolute and unmitigated liars” in their account of the Pentagon’s response to the Jan. 6 insurrection, according to a memo obtained by Politico.

In a 36-page memo to the House select committee investigating the insurrection, Col. Earl Matthews accuses Charles Flynn and Piatt of lying to Congress about what transpired behind the scenes the day rioters breached the Capitol. According to Matthews, the two men have played a key role in the Pentagon’s attempt to shirk responsibility for a dangerously sluggish, hours-late response to the violence.

[ ... ]

[Maj. Gen. William J.] Walker has told investors [sic] that he was “stunned” and “frustrated” during the conference call in which he says D.C. officials asked for National Guard assistance and Flynn and Piatt advised against providing it. Matthews confirmed Walker’s account of the call in his memo.

In his memo, Matthews also attacked the report that the Pentagon inspector general issued last month on Army leadership’s response to the Capitol riot. Matthews called it “replete with factual inaccuracies that served to create a revisionist history “worthy of the best Stalinist or North Korea propagandist.”

Walker had earlier called for the inspector general to retract his report for what he described as “sloppy work” and “inaccurate” findings. Walker told Politico that Matthews’ memo “speaks for itself” and said he had nothing to add.

“Our Army has never failed us and did not do so on Jan. 6,” Matthews told Politico. “However, occasionally some of our Army leaders have failed us and they did so on January 6th. Then they lied about it and tried to cover it up.”
