qHe's so thrilled to be marrying the lovely young lady of his dreams. Looks like they had flowers, candles, and I bet a nice reception with punch and cake. I bet the whole thing probably cost about $100 (in 1946 money) compared to extravagant productions these days.

My parents married in 1950. Mom in a wedding dress; Dad a nice suit and tie. Their wedding photo album only has 6-8 pictures in it! Dad had the same smile of satisfaction in getting the girl of his dreams.

That is a great man and great woman aside him.

Carter was cheated out of an even bigger legacy when his likely reelection was criminally stolen. Then that fake couple (https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2020/nov/12/the-reagans-showtime-docuseries) came to power and ruined America.
