This is VERY encouraging, Dems posted some massive gains all across the country, including +23% in Kentucky!

Add onto that their 9% overperformance in LA on Saturday, and the avg swing from 2020 Prez now sits at ~D+5%!

(90,824 posts)They have underestimated the wrong team.
Just like they seem to have consistently underestimated the power and brains and resourcefulness and stamina of women.
Whenever I think a man is getting uppity about his genders supposed superiority, I also think okay, tough-stuff. YOU try pushing a 5-8-pound baby out through THAT little hole. You tell ME who the weaker sex is.

(3,536 posts)As I read it, the 2016 and 2020 columns are not totals but are also "margins" (ie, % of vote that went Dem minus % that went Rep). And these are some very, very blue districts, except for NH, which actually flipped R->D.
So the D margin has increased in all of these districts, which is great, though where that final figure of 4.6% (the 2023 average) comes from isn't obvious. All the other margins in the blue column are much higher, ranging from 6.9% to 33.3%. Perhaps I am missing something....

(24,438 posts)Biden is doing an A+ job and people are starting to notice. The GOP is further out in la la land after they got roundly rejected in 2022 for it.

Meanwhile, the (generally, not all, I know) conservative Silent Gen is dwindling to a very small portion of the voting population. Zoomers + Millennials are overtaking Boomers + Gen X in terms of vote numbers. It's a beautiful thing to see.
(Again, I realize not all Boomers and Gen Xers are conservative...I'm speaking in generalizations here.)
