(10,752 posts)Living in Wisconsin, with several ties to Minnesota, and a transplant from often basement-less PA, I totally enjoyed his tutorial post on the humble "sump pump."
Being in Wisconsin, I know what a sump pump is, what it does, and what a pain in the butt it is when the sump pump goes out and your husband's gone on a business trip! Mineral man explained it beautifully.
Shout out!

(12,855 posts)I blocked some people over the nasty ageism they were spewing. I am an old broad who has worked my whole life for my party and their candidates. These people who want to bash all boomers are growing old.
Please come back MineralMan...

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
