I said if he is subpoenaed Trump will claim executive privilege and Barr will claim attorney/client privilege. I left off the sarcasm thingy.
I was surprised how many people agreed with my post.
No the hell not, those privileges cannot be claimed. A president doesnt need to even speak with his AG let alone order him what to do.

(2,285 posts)I think you are right. Those claims should be laughed out of court, but both will try if only to stall and play the waiting game.
It is straight out of the playbook.
Do I believe that those privilege claims are valid no. The AG is not the president's attorney any more than the secretary of transportation is his Uber driver.
