The czarina was trying to equate her position with Liz's but Liz was never a sworn in advisor to the president. Liz was not obliged by oath to intervene in her father's political life, czarina was.

I hope the point that Empty Wheel wasn't equating Liz Cheney's advice to her father with Ivanka Trump's advice to her father.

5. I'd call that a fairly bloodless exchange

Liz (who, incidentally, should apparently never try to be an interviewer ..) trying to tag Ivanka with a 'responsibility to advise' (whatever the heck that means - when DJT quite clearly didn't listen to anybody that had a message he didn't want to hear). And failing miserably there .... Then Ivanka rope-a-dopes an 'I don't remember' - which also neatly slides by ...

What about this exchange was 'remarkable' again .. ?

The Trump administration overruled security experts and gave security clearances to over 2 dozen people, including Ivanka and Jared.

Ivanka and Jared had no business being advisors to the president, no matter if they were related.
